Work is set to start in the New Year on the second phase of development at the £50m Hawke Ridge Business Park in Wiltshire after planning consent was secured.
Bath-based commercial property developer HPH submitted a detailed planning application for units ranging in size from 7,500 sq ft to 36,000 sq ft, with a total area of 67,500 sq ft.
HPH has already invested more than £2m in the scheme. First phase ground works, which were completed in September, included a new roundabout, access roads and signage.
The wider 35-acre scheme near Westbury will ultimately feature 500,000 sq ft of commercial space and could support about 1,000 jobs.
Chris Wordsworth, development director at HPH, said: “This planning consent from Wiltshire Council puts Hawke Ridge Business Park in an even stronger position for attracting high-quality employers, offering an immediate solution to their business needs.
“At Hawke Ridge we also offer build to suit opportunities. With 35-acres there is a lot of scope for companies looking for flexible premises, and we’re excited to see what our new occupiers will do.”
